12 night self-drive holiday exploring Miami to Key West, the southernmost tip of the USA
Fly into the Sunshine State and enjoy a few nights in the trendy Miami Beach before a couple of days exploring the amazing Everglades National Park and then heading down one of the most amazing roads in the world through Key Largo and Islamorada down to Key West, the most southern point in the USA. You’ll then drive back to Miami for your flight home. This trip is easily customisable; perhaps you’d like to fly into Orlando to spend a few days at the theme parks head over to Naples at the end of your trip.

Miami Beach (4 nights)
You’ll arrive in Miami and settle down at your hotel for 4 nights in trendy South Beach. You may want to relax on one of the gorgeous beaches or do a bit of shopping. We can recommend taking a walk down Ocean Drive enjoying the many art-deco buildings. We can supply a great art-deco self guided walking tour for you at no extra charge.

Day 5:
Islamorada
Islamorada is known for its sport fishing and, as you’d expect fresh seafood is the highlight of the Islamorada restaurant scene. Visit a tropical themed bar to take in the Florida Keys ambiance, take in the fine art and music while wandering through the Art and Cultural District, or just relax around and enjoy this beautiful part of Florida.

Days 6 - 8:
Key West (3 nights)
Continue along the “Overseas Highway” which connects the Florida Keys until the end of the road in Key West where you’ll stay for three nights. Enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the gorgeous sunsets at Mallory Square. You’ll want to see the Southernmost Point; a large concrete buoy and also visit Ernest Hemmingway’s house while you’re here.

Today you’ll make the short drive back to mainland Florida and for the next two nights stay near the Everglades National Park, a wildlife rich area stretching out over 1.5 million acres of remote land. Theres plenty of footpaths, cycle paths or maybe we can book an airboat tour for you to really experience this amazing National Park!

You have a very short, 45 mins drive to get to the airport today for your flight so we recommend spending most of the day in the Everglades National Park and making the most of your time here, or you can head into downtown Miami to see some of the sights this city has to offer.
