America’s 50th state, pitched almost at the heart of the Pacific, is renowned as a beach holiday destination, yet it is also a remarkably diverse and, in many places, wild place, where the six main islands of the archipelago tell a tale of sunny days and spectacular scenery.
Although we love Waikiki, there is more to a Hawaii holiday than just the beach. Two of the world’s most active volcanoes are at Volcanoes National Park on Big Island, on other islands you’ll find rugged cliffs and lush valleys and of course there is the local culture to enjoy.
You can easily hop from one island to another during your holiday with a short flight and we recommend seeing more than one during your trip. Hawaii is about 5 hours flying time from the west coast of America.

When to go
May - October is the Summer Season on the Hawaiian Islands and is our recommended time to visit.
Weather
During the Summer months, temperatures are usually around 29°C. During the winter, you will likely find it around 25°C.
Times
There are no direct flights. Total travel time each way from the UK is approx 18-22 hours. We recommend stopping for a night or more on the West Coast to split the journey.
Hawaii is 10 hours behind the UK.
